Johann Jost Süssmann, son of Hans Henrich Süssmann and Anna Catharina Eisenach, was born on 17 August 1725 at Holzburg, Ziegenhain, Hessen-Nassau, Holy Roman Empire (Germany).1 He married Maria Catharina Fieser on 24 June 1746 at Holzburg.1 He worked as a farmer at Holzburg.1
