     Johann Georg Mertesheimer, son of Johannes Mertesheimer and Anna Maria Scherff, was born on 20 May 1774 at Obersülzen, (Bad Dürkheim), Mont Tonnerre, Holy Roman Empire (Germany).1 He was baptized on 22 May 1774 at Obersülzen. His godparents were Johann Georg Frees and his wife Catharina Elisabeth.1

Johann died on 25 January 1854 at age 79 years, 8 months and 5 days.1
