     Leis Kercher, daughter of Asmus Kercher and Catharina Ruloff, was born at Butzbach, (Wetteraukreis), Hessen, Holy Roman Empire (Germany).1 She was baptized on 13 April 1585 at Butzbach. Her godmother was Leis, wife of Martin Dill.1
