     Johann Jost Jacobi, son of Johann Heinrich Jacobi and Anna Barbara Schleich, was born on 23 February 1723 at Ober-Gleen, (Vogelsbergkreis), Hessen-Kassel, Holy Roman Empire (Germany).1 He was baptized on 24 February 1723 at Ober-Gleen. His godfather was his grandfather Johann Jost Jacobi.1
