Gary Hein, 63 years old, of Indianapolis, IN passed away on Wednesday, January 6, 2016. Gary was born in Evansville, Indiana in 1953 to his parents, Dorothy and Alfred Hein, Sr.

Gary graduated from Brownsburg High School in 1971 and attended Purdue University. He completed his 18 year trucking career as a driver manager at Celadon Trucking in November of 2015. Gary was a member of the F&AM; Masonic Lodge in Brownsburg where he held several positions and also a member of the Cumberland United Methodist Church in Cumberland, IN. He loved to read, to watch old movies and to spend time at home enjoying life. His favorite pastime was to sit on his swing in the back yard with his dog, Sassy, and enjoy a good book.

Gary is survived by his wife of 15 years, Ruth Anne Hein; daughter, Amy Katherine Hein; step-daughter, Jeanette Elizabeth Wheeler; two grandchildren, Airman Robert Thomas Wheeler and Madison Elizabeth Haney; parents, Alfred, Sr. and Dorothy Hein; brother, Alfred Hein, Jr. (Dorothy); sister, Nancy (Hein) Bialis (Edward); several nephews, nieces and many other family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Melissa Anne.
on 6 January 2016 at Indianapolis, Marion County, Indiana.2 He was buried at Memorial Park Cemetery.2
