     Ila Fern Dorman was born on 10 August 1923 at Haddam, Washington County, Kansas.3 She married Robert William Fielder, son of Ernest R. Fielder and Edna Marie Seitz, on 21 August 1992 at Washington, Washington County, Kansas.1

Visitation is Friday, 2 p.m. to 8 p.m., June 24 at Ward Funeral Home in Washington. The family will receive friends 5 to 7 p.m.

A funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m., Saturday, June 25 at the Ward Funeral Home, Washington.

Burial will be in the Morrowville Cemetery

Survivors include sons, Kenny (Twila) Simnitt, Washington, Danny (Ava) Simnitt, Clyde; daughters, Peggy (Larry) Wilkinson, Clay Center and Judith Koss, Washington; brothers, Jim (Janet) Dorman, Canadian, TX, Keith Dorman, Concordia, KS, Glen Dorman, Ft. Dodge, IA, Loren (Karen) Dorman, Florida, Jack (Ardy) Dorman, Harcourt, IA, Ronnie (Janet) Dorman, Concordia; and sisters, Marilyn (Jack) Dunn, Phillipsburg, Betty (Mike) Herron, Ft. Dodge, IA; nine grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

A memorial fund is established to the Washington Christian Church or Meadowlark Hospice. Contributions may be sent in care of Ward Funeral Home.

Illa was born at Haddam, KS to James R. and Elsie E. (Cornwell) Dorman, on August 10, 1923. She worked as a sales clerk for several businesses in Washington for many years. On October 11, 1940, she married Otis Simnitt at Clifton. To this union were born four children. They were married over fifty years before Otis preceded her in death on November 28, 1990. She married Robert Fielder August 21, 1992 in Washington. Bob preceded her in death on August 5, 2003.

Illa loved to quilt, sew, bake and cook; she made wonderful pies! She enjoyed visiting with her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Illa deeply loved her family.
on 20 June 2016 at Clay Center, Clay County, Kansas, at age 92 years, 10 months and 10 days3, and was buried at Morrowville Cemetery.3
