Johann Philipp Herminghausen, son of Johann Adolf Herminghausen and Maria Klara Hungrighausen, was born circa 1670.2 He registered at the Universität Herborn, Herborn, in 1691, where he studied theology.2 He was the third pastor at Siegen, (Siegen-Wittgenstein), (Nordrhein-Westfalen), Holy Roman Empire (Germany), between 1695 and 1697.2,1 Between 1697 and 1699, Philipp was the second pastor at Braunfels, (Lahn-Dill-Kreis), (Hessen), Holy Roman Empire (Germany).2
Philipp married Gertrud Catharina Hagen, daughter of Bernhard Hagen, on 20 January 1704 at Siegen.1,2 He was a pastor at Rheydt, (Mönchengladbach), (Nordrhein-Westfalen), Holy Roman Empire (Germany), between 1708 and 1718.2
Philipp died on 22 March 1718 at Rheydt.2
