     Adolf Moritz Herminghausen, son of Johann Friedrich Herminghausen and Anna Dorothea Lentz, was born circa 1695 at Leun, (Lahn-Dill-Kreis), (Hessen), Holy Roman Empire (Germany).2 He registered at the Universität Herborn, Herborn, in 1711, where he studied theology.2 He was a pastor at Groß-Büllesheim, (Euskirchen), (Nordrhein-Westfalen), Holy Roman Empire (Germany), between 1719 and 1725.2

Adolf married Anna Elisabetha Cornelia Quad, daughter of Otto Walram Quad and Cornelia von Pick, circa 1721 at Mönchengladbach, (Nordrhein-Westfalen), Holy Roman Empire (Germany).2

Second, Adolf married Sophia Margaretha Elisabetha Nauradt on 2 October 1733 at Braunfels, (Lahn-Dill-Kreis), (Hessen), Holy Roman Empire (Germany).1
