Johann Peter Pfaff, son of Johann Peter Pfaff and Anna Elisabetha Justina Maria Schaub, was born on 26 May 1775 at Kölschhausen, (Lahn-Dill-Kreis), (Hessen), Heiliges Römisches Reich.¹ He was baptized on 28 May 1775 at Kölschhausen. His godparents were Johann Peter, son of Johann Wilhelm Moritz, and the wife of Johann Peter Kräuter from Bechlingen.¹ He married Anna Margaretha Meyer on 4 March 1798 at Kölschhausen.¹
