Wilhelm Konrad Trauthig, son of Johann Heinrich Trauthig and Philippina Eckarth, was born on 24 July 1799 at Kölschhausen, (Lahn-Dill-Kreis), (Hessen), Holy Roman Empire (Germany).1 He was baptized on 28 July 1799 at Kölschhausen. His godparents were Johann Konrad Trautig from Ehringshausen, and Katharina, wife of Johann Wihelm Moritz from Kölschhausen.1
