Francisca Scharlotta Wilhelmina Herminghausen, daughter of Hieronymus Herminghausen and Margaretha Henrica Johanna Bremer, was born at Braunfels, (Lahn-Dill-Kreis), (Hessen), Holy Roman Empire (Germany).1 She was baptized on 15 April 1734 at Braunfels. Her godparents were the wife of Lieutenant Colonel from Haurad, Victor Wilhelm Herminghausen royal Prussian cavalry sergeant.1
Francisca was the godmother of her nephew, Karl Wilhelm Müller at her baptism on 6 June 1766 at Braunfels.4
On 14 May 1799 Francisca asked an attorney to come to the house to accept her last will and testament, which she had already written on 1 April 1799. She lived on the second floor of the house of her brother-in-law, Peter Müller, then inspector. At the time, the attorney found her short of breath, but otherwise of sound mind. In the will, Francisca declared to be the sister of both Charlotta Herminghausen, who had died in March of the year 1799, and of Christina Müller, nee Herminghausen. Fransisca had resided with Charlotta in Braunfels until her death, whereupon she moved into the home of her sister Christina in Wölfersheim. She promised to pay 80 gulden annually for room and board. From her sister Charlotta she had inherited a portion of the house and garden in Braunfels, and some monetary assets. Because the estate hadn't yet been distributed, she wanted the annual payment to the Müllers to come from Charlotta's estate. Francisca expected to die soon, and wanted to leave the entire bequest of her sister Charlotta to them, as well as the remainder of her property. Should Christina and her husband Peter die before Francisca, she wanted their three children, Charlotte, who was married to Pastor Christian Bingel, Johanna Wilhelmina, and Carl, to have everything, but they must also then provide for her care. Carl was Francisca's godson, so he additionally was to receive 100 guldens in advance.2
Francisca died before 31 October 1799.2 After her death, her brother Carl was unable to attend the opening of her will on 31 October 1799, and appointed his brother-in-law, Peter Müller, as his representative.2
