     Maria Kercher, daughter of Asmus Kercher and Catharina Ruloff, was born at Butzbach, (Wetteraukreis), Hessen-Darmstadt, Heiliges Römisches Reich.1 She was baptized on 25 January 1588 at Butzbach. Her godmother was Maria, wife of Jacob Rübsamen.1
