     Johann Anthonius Spon, son of Sebastian Spon and Margaretha Winder, was born on 3 October 1681 at Butzbach, (Wetteraukreis), Hessen, Heiliges Römisches Reich.1 He was baptized on 6 October 1681 at Butzbach. His godfather was his grandfather Anthon Winder.1

Anthonius died on 25 April 1767 at Butzbach at age 85 years, 6 months and 22 days.2
