Anna Gehla Ruhl was born on 13 March 1718 at Seigertshausen, Ziegenhain, Hessen-Nassau, Holy Roman Empire (Germany).¹ She married Johann Hermann Schlemmer, son of Hans Heinrich Schlemmer and Elisabetha Steinbrecher, on 21 October 1733 at Seigertshausen.¹

Gehla died on 24 December 1791 at Seigertshausen at age 73 years, 9 months and 11 days.¹
