Sophia Wilhelmina Golz was born between 4-5 p.m on 27 March 1811 at Schlitz, (Vogelsbergkreis), Hessen, German Confederation (Germany). She was the second child and the second daughter.1,2 She was baptized on 7 April 1811 at Schlitz. Her godmothers were her mother's second sister, Wilhelmine Müller, daughter of Adam Christopf Müller,and Sophia Elisabeth Golz, the daughter of Georg Golz.1 She married Philipp Tresser, son of Heinrich Christian Tresser and Anna Christine Margaretha Henkel, on 5 January 1834 at Schlitz. The parents of the bride and groom, the bride's uncle, Buchwald Müller, and the groom's brother-in-law, the citizen with full rights and master baker, Wilhelm Habicht, were witnesses at the marriage.5
On 26 September 1834, Philipp and Sophia lost their first son, Friedrich.6
Sophia died on 22 January 1894 at Schlitz, Vogelsbergkreis, Hessen, German Empire, at age 82 years, 9 months and 26 days.1
