In 1587, Ludwig registered at the Universität Marburg.2,7,5 He was on scholarship between 1 January 1596 and 1 April 1604.7 He was a pastor at Rauischholzhausen, (Marburg-Biedenkopf), (Hessen), Holy Roman Empire (Germany), between 1605 and 1619. At the introduction of the Reformation, he was removed from office.2,7,8
Ludwig married Anna Holzhausen, daughter of Peter Holzhausen, on 17 July 1608 They needed permission to marry, because they were third cousins.9
Second, Ludwig married Elisabeth (--?--) on 25 October 1618.7,3 In 1620, Ludwig paid taxes for living outside of the town boundaries, but having rights to commons.10 Between 1620 and 1633, Ludwig was a pastor at Steinbach, Giessen, Hessen, Holy Roman Empire (Germany).1,2,3,7
Ludwig was the godfather of the Feger child in 1621 at Steinbach.3 In 1622, he was the godfather of Heinrich Leister3, and of Jacob Fritz in 1623 at Steinbach.3
Third, Ludwig married Agnes (--?--).3
Ludwig was the godfather of his grandson, Heinrich Ludwig Dentzer at his baptism on 27 January 1628 at Watzenborn-Steinberg.1
Ludwig died in April 1633 at Steinbach.2,7 On 24 February 1635, capital holdings of the heirs were recorded as being 100 Reichstaler.7
