The haplogroup for our Zander line has been determined to be R-YP5800.
Our earliest known Forster ancestor was Augustin Forster, who lived in Ruschberg and Baumholder, Germany, in the mid to late 1600's. The Foster haplogroup has been determined to be G-M201.
Our earliest known Bachmann ancestor was Frantz Konrad Bachmann, who lived in Dirmstein, Germany, in the mid 1700s to early 1800s. The Bachmann haplogroup has been determined to be R1b1a2*.
By DNA testing, the descent from John Pepper, born circa 1770, has been confirmed for three of his sons' lines, Sunsberry, Parker and John J. The haplogroup has been determined to be R-P25.
Descent from John Chandler, born 1600 in England, has been confirmed. He immigrated to Jamestown, Virginia on 10 June 1610 on board the Hercules. The haplogroup has been determined to be I-M223.
